Die SHENANIGANZ bezeichnen ihr Material selbst als "Bad Ass Rock'n'Roll", und diese Bezeichnung ist sehr zutreffend. Mal geht’s punkrockig und mitgröhltauglich zur Sache ("Punk That Rocks", "Social Misfit"), dann erfreut dreckiger Rock'n'Roll des Hörers Herz und Ohr ("Andy Warhol", "Can't Await The Moon"), und mal wird den erdigen Bluesrockern dieser Welt Tribut gezollt ("Jesus Was A Rock'n'Roller", "Hobo Slide"). Dabei machen die oberbayrischen Pfundsburschen sich nie des Plagiats schuldig, sondern klingen immer erfrischend eigenständig.

Im April 2006 gewannen die vier den SchoolJam-Wettbewerb als beste deutsche Schülerband 2005/2006; im folgenden Mai verpassten sie nur knapp den Einzug ins Regiofinale des Nachwuchswettbewerbs Emergenza. Ihre Livequalitäten konnten sie bei Festivals wie Rock Am Ring, dem deutsch-französischen Zikommfestival in Coburg und dem Junior Art Fest in Gangneung (Südkorea) eindrucksvoll unter Beweis stellen. Wir dürfen also gespannt sein, was das Quartett aus Haag demnächst auf uns los lässt.

Wand. Na ja, nett das alles, aber wer brauchts? Das ist eine von diesen
Bonusbeigaben, die man wahrscheinlich einmal anhört, schmunzelt und gut ist. Ich
habe es nur deshalb dreimal gehört, weil ich eine Rezension schreiben wollte.
"The Bottom Half": Ein gutgemachtes, nettes Rockalbum voller ur-amerikanischer
Musik. Wer schon "Safety In Numbers" gut fand, der kann hier ohne Vorbehalt
zugreifen, denn "The Bottom Half" ist allemal besser.tana ect. you are sure to get a big kick out of this fantastic album. Can’t think of any other band that has such a great potential. I think it’s fantastic what the Herlihy brothers have achieved with their new album.
